Biography
Civil servant by day, photographer virtually every other chance that I get. You'll rarely find me without a camera.
I've been interested in photography since I was a child, and initially learned photography techniques using a variety of film cameras from cheap one-time disposable cameras to interchangeable lens cameras when I could get my hands on them. After university and several years focused on my career, I rediscovered my love of photography when I came to as part of an art therapy treatment linked to addressing chronic pain from multiple back surgeries.
Photography has not only been a means for me to rediscover and re-engage with life again, but is also one of the ways that I use to help others dealing with similar issues now as well.
As a photographer, I specialize several areas:
- Event photography
- Portrait & Headshot photography
- Candid, Photo-Documentary/Journalism photography
- Street photography
I regularly challenge myself to grow as a photographer and am always seeking out other areas of the field to strengthen my skills and knowledge.
Whether its working on a personal project or for a client, my focus is on capturing the moment where we all can truly connect through images. I believe there a few more universal moments than the power of a truly great image resonating with viewers who may speak may languages or live many thousands of kilometers apart.
I am always interested in discussing a variety of photography projects. Please don't hesitate to contact me when you would like to discuss one of your upcoming projects.
